Very nice Indian restaurant with really warm staff. Have already eaten there several times outside of the Corona closure and have already ordered food from there. The food was always fresh and tasted. A small star deducted because the food was not seasoned enough for me personally and the wrong dish arrived when I ordered it. Still worth a visit!
Super delicious food! We picked up the food, everything went perfectly. It won't be the last time we order there.
Best Indian restaurant in the NW area. Nice ambience, nice service and delicious food. Always my pleasure!
Eaten very tasty. Generous portions at fair prices. Authentic. Nice atmosphere.
The best Indian restaurant I have ever visited. Wonderful food in Neustadt. I especially like the tomato soup ❤️ you can easily order and pick up the food there. I think the cardboard soup packaging is great. I would like to see less plastic in the other packaging. Of course, that has nothing to do with the quality of the food.
Superlecker!?
5 stars are actually not enough here! Really highly recommended! ?
Super friendly and attentive service, with incredibly delicious food. Highly recommended, everything was great!
Delicious. All the dishes tasted great and were very well seasoned.
Nice service, good food. We felt good. Further visits will follow.
We visited the restaurant for lunch on a sunny Friday on September 2020 at 13:40 with a group of 6 people. The restaurant offers a range of Indian food and drinks. I had chicken ticker which was delicious, the size was exactly right for Lunch and the visual appearance was pleasant. The spiciness was perfectly adjusted to the European taste and the quality excellent. The salad and side dishes are outstanding to. The service was very welcoming and is speaking German and English fluently. There also was a menu printed in English which is exceptional. The additional lunch menu was only in German, but that was not problematic. We were sitting outside, which was fine. The inner space is looking nice although it was a little untidy. All in all, the location might not be awesome, but it is appropriate for a restaurant of its kind. The ambience is fitting to my expectations for lunch and fit the district that in general looks quite similar. What I do not find ideal is that it is difficult to find the restaurant. There are no signs visible from the street and therefore you would normally walk past the restaurant not knowing that it is there. The food was served in time so that we where able to finish in the time we had for lunch. If you plan with about 60 minutes for your lunch you will be fine. The corona regulations have been followed by staff and guests, we always felt safe. The tables are far apart which is very pleasant especially in times of corona. The location looked clean and there was no sign of hygiene problems in the restaurant. I only know 2 Indian restaurants in Neustadt, so it is unique in the area. I can recommend the restaurant and am going to visit again. The prices are good, and the overall picture is a 5 out of 5. If you are interested in Indian food, then this is the place to go in Neustadt.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very cozy and you get the Indian vibe you expect. The design of the interior is astonishing, which gives you the “wow-effect” when you walk in and makes you want to stay for a while, even after finishing your meal. If you prefer, you can also take a seat outside and enjoy your meal there. In this restaurant you also don’t need to worry about dirty tables or dirty cutlery. Shining, clean tables and cutlery are waiting for you! Also during the corona time there are no defects and all rules are being taken care of. The next positive surprise is the excellent service. The waiter was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. As soon as we came in, a waiter brought us to the table and gave us the menu. We also asked what specialities the waiter can recommend us, and we got a detailed advice so we decided to take the advice. When we first got the salad, we could not stop looking at it and we immediately tried it. On the first look it seems like a normal salad at first, on the second look you start seeing the curry dressing on the salad, which already makes it look a million times better than a normal salad. For the taste there is absolutely no other word in that world that could describe this event because it’s simply a FLAVOUR EXPLOSION in your mouth! You will have never tasted this combination of salad and a fruity sauce before with a little olive that completes the perfect taste. This salad is a must have when you go there! Thanks to the recommendations, I tried the chicken curry which has a very fresh sauce with a combination of very fluffy and smooth rice. The chicken was very soft and easy to chew. From the taste you could already recognise that the combination of these ingredients give a very delicious combination. The price-quality relationship was suitable and the money was absolutely worth it. It almost felt like travelling to India and experiencing a new culture. The overall dining experience was amazing and I can only recommend this restaurant for everyone!
Amazing experience! Stopped by for lunch with my classmates on a Friday, the restaurant was nearly empty probably due to the late lunch hours and covid situation. All the necessary precautions were taken- tables were disinfected before we sat down and our waiter had a mask on. All the plates and dishes were very clean and hygienic, incredibly appreciated during the ongoing pandemic. The restaurant is located on Winzinger Straße, private enough to avoid the hassle of the main street but also open enough so it’s easy to spot when passing by- best of both worlds. Beautiful greenery around the entrance gate provides a welcoming and warming first impression. Maharaja accepts reservations, we were shown to our table and given the menus at the drop of the hat. I’d describe the general atmosphere as very peaceful, easy to relax and let go of your day to day worries. The tables were set apart with enough space to sit comfortably, also definitely classifies as child friendly. The indian style menu had an incredible range of choice including an option to customize your own curry dish which I thought was very unique. Me and my classmates decided to go for different variations of the classic chicken curry along with salad and pita bread. The food took about 15-20 minutes to come and was worth every minute! Everything was fresh and tasted delicious, the chicken was cooked to perfection and combined excellently with the mildly spicy sauce. What I find in Indian restaurants is that sometimes the spiciness is slightly overwhelming for my taste, even in the theoretically not spicy dishes. However, this chicken curry provided an exquisite blend of spice which was greatly enjoyable. The pricing was even above my expectations, for the curry, pita bread and drink I paid just under 10Є. This is an excellent price to quality ratio, and you 100% get your money’s worth. This place is perfect for any type of occasion whether it’s a family outing, brunch with coworkers or a dinner for two! I would definitely recommend Maharaja to anyone looking to spice up their culinary experience.
My experience at Maharaja Maharaja is an Indian restaurant which lies locally in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. I did not expect that it is as good as it actually is, because from the outside, the building looks very dark and not as modern as other restaurants in Neustadt. The atmosphere in the restaurant is awesome. It is a quiet place, where you can sit inside or outside. Personally, I prefer to sit outside, because the area looks nicer. For me, it was the first time I ate Indian. The food was tasty and it did not take them long to bring it. They have a grand menu card and many different types of Indian food, so you would have a large choice of what to eat. The menu cards are in German, but as well as in English. I took a salad for the start and for my main meal chicken curry. The salad was okay. I did not like the curry sauce on it, because I am not used to eating salad with curry sauce, but I think people who like curry sauce and eat Indian food common, will love the salad. The chicken curry was amazing! The taste was brilliant. It was served with fresh rice and it was not as spicy as Indian food normally is, which I really liked about it. The service is super friendly and asked a lot of times, if everything is good or if we need something else. He spoke English and German, which will be preferable for people who can not speak German. Hygiene wise, it was okay the only thing I missed were the sanitizer on the tables, because due to corona the restaurant should at least ask there Costumers if they need to or would like to sanitize their hands, but overall the restaurant is very clean. As it was already said time wise it was really fast, after one hour I went back home with no longer hunger feeling. Overall, I would recommended the restaurant to my friends, because it is the cream of the crop. You get your food fast, it is tasty and it looks amazing! What more do you want?
We sat at the garden outside, best option during the covid time. The daily meal was very cheap and good.
Nice restaurant with very tasty dishes. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Allergy sufferers or vegans are dealt with flexibly.
We liked it very much. The service deserves special praise. She was very attentive and very friendly. The food was very tasty. It was also pleasant to eat as it is not too spicy. What we noticed very pleasantly, we had no problems afterwards! If you are there you should definitely try this. However, almost nothing goes without a reservation.
Super good team! The team is always super nice and reliable! respond to all of your customers' wishes! The food tastes magical delicious and tasty! No long waiting time ? the atmosphere is right ?%! A big thank you to the team ?
Restaurant is outside in a quiet location. Little parking space available. Staff have been very nice. We ate 2 people 5 course menu. Very good starter. Flavored dips. Soup also good but lacked salt. Salad with very tasty curry sauce. I have to say we were already full here ? but the main course came. We have chosen a spicy sauce. But in summer I find a fine fresher sauce is the better choice. In any case, were full. We could hardly eat anymore. Then there is dessert. Carrots Pistachios Overkill. The only thing I didn't like was the fish. Somehow it didn't go with sauce. Rice would have been better without eggs. Summary: 5 course menu too much, only for people with a big appetite. Nice quiet ambience and nice staff. Divine starter. But I prefer to only recommend 1 main meal.
Very, very tasty food, also to take away! Very nice staff who meet all your needs. The best Indian food I have ever eaten!
Incredibly delicious Indian food. Also vegan possible. Great service and nice ambience. Also like to take 40 minutes to get here to eat ?
Really nice evening (07/18/2020) great food, waiters tried very hard, nice ambience, sitting at a distance and really very comfortable ... Recommended ?
Ate here again for the first time since moving from Speyer. The second generation is in no way inferior to the father. The food was great, was served in a friendly manner and you could get hints of spiciness etc.
Loved the food. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the energy. Decoration is on point and most importantly they keep what they promise! You’ll feel like home and you’ll the best service in town. Also they absolutely stuck to the guidelines during this COVID time - hygiene is very important for the restaurant owner!!!
Was here for the first time. Since I have many comparative values in Frankfurt, I can say that the dishes have tasted. These were delicious. I also found the staff to be friendly despite the masks. I find prices reasonable. Disadvantage: You don't serve stale cola !!! There was no more carbon dioxide in it. I did not draw attention to the operation and also did not point it out. Only communicated this at the end when I was asked if everything was OK. I also find the location less than ideal. Food, Chicken Tikka Everest and Murgh Tikka were delicious. Pakoras were very good. Samosas were good. Coconut schnapps and coconut lassi were also great. Appetizer was unexpectedly spicy but I personally like it. All in all, therefore 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Tasty dishes & friendly professional service.
Super. Delicious. Also ideal for vegetarians and vegans. Very friendly and competent service.
Indian cuisine as you would expect it to be and reasonable prices. Warm & friendly hosts. Only the lessor should be encouraged to upgrade the building.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent food and reasonable prices.
An Indian restaurant with a great atmosphere awaits you. You will be warmly welcomed and served. The card leaves nothing to be desired. The food was very tasty. Value for money was top.
Nice taste and nice environment
Love this place
Great Place. Great Atmosphere. Great Staff. Amazing food.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, we'll be back! :)
Intimate and cozy atmosphere. Amazing decor and color combination. I am happy to see that this restaurant is more up to date and modern and not dark and dainty. The food is by far the best in my opinion and service to spectacular.
